Villa Alba is one of the most majestic examples of neoclassical construction present on the territory of Lake Garda.
Conceived by the architect Shaefer in the early 1900s as a summer residence for Emperor Franz Joseph and Princess Sissi, it draws inspiration from the monuments of the Acropolis of Athens.
The important sculptures placed on the facade, the caryatids, are in fact an exact copy of those of the illustrious Parthenon.
Villa Alba has an important central room, embellished with neoclassical marble columns, able to accommodate up to two hundred people.
The spectacular setting is also given by the large raised stage that dominates the hall and by the large glass wall behind it that projects the guests’ view onto the large park, giving the impressions that the hall has no boundaries.
The garden is also magnificent, full of fountains and plants of all kinds, within which the visitor can find that peace in the landscape that the original name of the villa, Ruhland (peace in landscape), indicated.
The villa is currently used for important events and private receptions.
